Amazing efforts and achievements!
Clovercrest had a fabulous day in the pool yesterday at the All in Summer meet 2, with lots of personal best and state times achieved.
Particularly noteworthy achievements:
Congratulations to Piper, who achieved her first National Age Qualifying Time for the 1500m freestyle (18:53.87). Piper will be the first female Clovercrest swimmer to compete this event at a national event, as it was only added to the qualifying events a few years ago.
Congrats also to Noah, who set the male 8 and under club record for the 200m individual medley. Despite the club's long history, no boy in this age group has ever been brave enough to attempt this event. Well done!
Piper joins Jasmin and Stephanie who have also qualified for events at the 2023 Australian Age Championships within the qualifying period. Piper, along with Ethan and Daniel has already also qualified for the 2023 Australian Open Water Championships too, bringing our total of current NAQ swimmers to 5. With lots of amazing swimming happening within the club, who knows how many we will have qualified by next year?!
