SA State Short Course Championships Wrap up!

10 Aug 2023

Fantastic results for Clovercrest!

This year we entered the Championships with a team of 24 swimmers, we had 4 swimmers competing in their first States!

We would like to mention Braydon and Meg, who were both struck down by illness and could not participate, which is very disappointing for them as they have been training so well for the event. We would also like to mention Ethan who had to withdraw from the competition after his first swim due to an arm injury.

As a club, we achieved a 90% PB rate on entry time over the meet, with the following swimmers achieving 100% PB rates:Sophie, Erik, Will, Connor, Damien, Lilly, Chloe, Cortez, Luca, Alesha, Hannah, Rosie, Piper and Savannah.

We had 8 medal winners, who won 22 medals between them, 8 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 Bronze

Our other finalists also did us proud, with some very close final swims. Congratulations to Ebony, Ella, Lilly, Luca, Rosie and Will.

As a club we came in 10th position overall, which is a fantastic effort with just 24 swimmers and the fact we did not enter any relay events, which accumulate points for the team.
