Clovercrest Swimming Club Shines at the South Australia Age Long Course Championships
The South Australia Age Long Course Championships proved to be a remarkable event for swimmers across the state, and the athletes from Clovercrest Swimming Club certainly made their mark. With stellar performances, personal bests, club records, and national qualifying times, Clovercrest swimmers proved their hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent throughout the competition.
A Tribute to Every Swimmer at the Event
While several swimmers from Clovercrest Swimming Club earned top finishes and set impressive personal bests, it’s essential to acknowledge the efforts of every swimmer who participated in the South Australia Age Long Course Championships for the Club. Each competitor displayed immense dedication, sportsmanship, and resilience. Swimmers such as Samuel, Lilly K, Savannah, Lily H, Hannah, Zoe W, Damian, Beau, William, Arlia, Arabella, Hakala, Sienna, Eli, Ebony, Daniel, Chloe, Ella, Keaton, Sabian, Grace, Nathan, Paige, Brendan, and Ruby all competed fiercely, showcasing their exceptional talent and determination. Their ability in such a competitive environment speaks to the hard work and commitment they’ve put into their training. It’s the spirit of every swimmer whether they earned a medal or not that makes Clovercrest Swimming Club a thriving and supportive community. Their journey is a testament to what can be achieved through passion, dedication, and teamwork.

Finals Appearances: Rising to the Challenge
Many Clovercrest swimmers made it to the finals, displaying their competitive edge:
Arlia, Arabella, Damian, Lily H, Hannah, William, Eli, Ebony, Ruby, Savannah, Sienna, Beau, Ella, Daniel, Lilly K, Hakala, Keaton, Nathan, Sabian, Paige, demonstrated their skill by reaching the finals, proving that Clovercrest Swimming Club is filled with top-tier talent.
Outstanding Gold Medal Performance
Clovercrest’s swimmers truly stood out, with many of them claiming first place in their respective events:
Keaton delivered an incredible performance, securing first place in both the 400m Freestyle and 800m Freestyle in the 14-15 Male category. His endurance and technique made him one of the top competitors in these distance events.
Savannah also highlighted her immense talent, finishing first in both the 400m Freestyle and the 200m Backstroke in the 14-15 Female category. Her flawless technique and focus helped her claim these top spots.
Silver Medal Triumphs
Clovercrest swimmers didn’t just dominate in the first place, they also showed remarkable consistency by earning second-place finishes in several events:
Savannah displayed her versatility by finishing second in both the 50m Backstroke and the 100m Backstroke (14 Female), proving she can excel in multiple strokes.
Beau, competing in the 12 Male category, earned second in both the 200m Freestyle and 100m Freestyle, displaying his strength and speed in the sprint events.
Damian also earned second in both the 100m Breaststroke (14 Male) and 50m Breaststroke (14 Male), cementing his position as one of the top swimmers in breaststroke events.
Remarkable Bronze Successes
There were plenty of third-place finishes that highlighted the depth of talent at Clovercrest Swimming Club:
Damian claimed third in the 200m Breaststroke (14-15 Male), proving his versatility across different distances.
Beau earned third in the 50m Freestyle (12 Male), 50m Butterfly, and 200m Freestyle, highlighting his all-around swimming ability.
Keaton secured third in the 200m Freestyle (15 Male) and 200m IM, further showing himself as one of the club’s standout swimmers.
Hannah, one of Clovercrest’s up-and-coming stars, finished third in both the 100m Freestyle (13 Female) and the 400m Freestyle (12-13 Female), showing her stamina and speed in the longer events.
William earned third in the 100m Breaststroke (13 Male), rounding out a strong set of performances for the club.
Daniel claimed third in the 800m Freestyle (16-18 Male), demonstrating his versatility across different distances.

South Australian Multi-Class Records
One of the standout moments of the championships came from Paige, who broke multiple South Australian Multi-Class Records:
12&U 200m Breaststroke SB14 – 3:19.46
Open 200m Breaststroke SB14 – 3:19.46
12&U 50m Backstroke S14 – 38.52
These remarkable performances by Paige not only earned her record-breaking achievements but also proved the strength, determination, and perseverance of multi-class athletes in South Australia.
Club Records: Setting New Benchmarks
Two standout swimmers from Clovercrest made history by breaking club records:
Savannah set a new club record for the 50m Backstroke (13-14 Female) with an amazing time of 31.15 seconds, setting a new standard for future competitors at the club.
Beau also made history by breaking the club record for the 100m Freestyle (11-12 Male), with a time of 1:00.63, highlighting his incredible talent in sprint events.
A Staggering Number of Personal Bests
One of the most exciting aspects of the championships was the number of personal bests achieved by Clovercrest swimmers. In total, 110 personal bests were set during the competition, a clear sign of the hard work and dedication that has been put into training. Swimmers like Zoe W, Grace, Samuel, Daniel, Brendan, and Hakala all managed to achieve 100% PBs across their events, proving their remarkable progress.
National Qualifying Times (NAQT): A Major Milestone
Several Clovercrest swimmers also earned National Qualifying Times (NAQT) during the event, marking an important milestone in their swimming careers:
Daniel qualified in the 1500m Freestyle (17 Male)
Damian secured NAQT in both the 200m Breaststroke (16 Male) Two years in advance and the 100 Breaststroke (15 Male), a full year earlier than needed.
Hannah achieved NAQT in the 400m Freestyle (13 Female) and 100m Freestyle (14 Female) a year ahead of schedule.
Savannah qualified for NAQT in the 100m Backstroke (Open time), and improved in her 50m, 200m Backstroke, 200m and 400m Freestyle, confirming her position among the top swimmers in the state.
Keaton earned NAQT in the 200m Freestyle (15 Male), 100m Freestyle, 200m IM, and 800m Freestyle.

The South Australia Age Long Course Championships was an unforgettable event for the Clovercrest Swimming Club. With multiple podium finishes, personal bests, club records, and National Qualifying Times, the club’s swimmers have proven that they are ready to take on even bigger challenges in the future.
